Avanti
This ancient city of India, known as Avantika in the Puranas, was included in the other four major cities of India besides the Shodash Mahajanapadas. Its two parts were the Northern Avanti whose capital was Ujjain and the southern Avanti whose capital was Mahishmati. Apart from being a well-known center of Buddhism, Avanti had also gained economic importance in the 6th century BC.
Indraprastha
It is located near New Delhi, this city was famous as the capital of the state Kuru during the Mahabharata period. It is remarkable for its beauty and grandeur. Natraj temple is the world famous temple here.
Jaipur
This town was established by Kachwaha ruler Sawai Jai Singh in 1721 and is currently famous as the capital of Rajasthan. In general, this city is identified with pink color. The buildings here include Deewan-E-Khas, Diwan-E-Aam, Chandra Mahal, Govind Dev Ji Temple. Apart from this, the famous NaharShah Durg and Hawa Mahal have been built by Jai Singh.
It was Founded by Firoz Shah Tughlaq, this town is located on the banks of river Gomti in Uttar Pradesh. Jaunpur is considered as the center of Muslim rituals. This is the reason that Jaunpur has been known as 'Shiraz-e-Hind'.
Jhansi
This town of Uttar Pradesh is famous for the Rani Lakshmibai because she took part in the first freedom struggle in 1857 and bravely fought and died. The fort here is built in the 17th century by Orachha Naresh Veer Singh Bundela.
Tanjore
Tanjore is located 218 miles south of Chennai. It is famous for the war between Prithviraj Chauhan and Mohammad Gauri. This war is famous as 'War of Tarain' on the pages of history, which happened two times. First in 1191 and second in 1182.
Tughlaqabad
About three kilometers from Qutub Minar located in Delhi, Gasasuddin Tughlaq laid the foundations of this city and made it his capital. From the point of view of architecture in Tughlaqabad, only Abhishek has remained there. The main of these is the fort built here by Tughlaq, the tomb of Rajmahal and Tughlaq's tomb.
Tiruchirappalli
In ancient times, this city was known as Krishna Palli. It is located 250 km away from Chennai on the banks of Kaveri river. The 100-pillared pavilions and many cave temples built here by the Pallava rulers are the pride of this city.
