How the Internet was invented?

The Internet was invented due to the cold war. In the 1960s and 1970s, there was a threat of nuclear bomb on both Russia and the United States. If an atom bomb was attacked, then the exchange of messages would end and you can not send any secret message. America had already thought of these threats. So they thought of creating a methodology that connects one computer to another computer with an underground cable so that message can  be easily delivered to computers. America did not plan to make a main center of it so that if any part of the this network ceased to work, the rest of the networks would work. Pentagon's ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) was appointed to create this network. 

American Researcher and ARPA together created a network, which was initially called ARPANET and the American computers were added to it. By the year 1990 the Cold War had almost ended and the danger of nuclear bomb was also deferred. Therefore, ARPANET Technology was handed over to the National Science Foundation by the US Government and later it was known as INTERNET. 

There was neither a domain nor a website in the 1990's as the computers were connected by LAN. In ARPANET, we needed to know which computer contains data, then we could get that data. But Tim Berners-Lee solved this problem in 1991 by inventing WWW (World Wide Web). After sometime, the WWW became the international network and all domains are being registered with this name. 

Who is the Owner of the Internet?

There is no owner of the Internet. Or in other words, the person using it, is the owner of it. It was invented in the public sector in the United States which used money from American Defense and Research University. After this AM, FM radio and TV were invented by money of US government and gave it for public use. After this, many small ISPs (Internet Service Provider) started in the world, who combined their local network to the global Internet. In this way, the network of INTERNET spread to the whole world.

How we get information from the Internet so quickly?

Let's understand the functionality of the Internet through an example. Suppose you searched the official website of Knowledge "The Gosai" by typing The Gosai. Then this command will first reach Local Service Provider and then the Router Computer Network of your city. After this, it will be transported to Google.com. After this, Google would find the data of The Gosai website from its database and the data would be transferred to you by reverse method. All these processes are approximated by the speed of light, so any data is reach us within a few seconds. 

How big is Internet traffic?

On Aug. 3, 1949, President Harry S. Truman authoritatively announced June 14 as Flag Day.

In the vicinity of 1777 and 1960 Congress passed a few demonstrations that changed the shape, outline and plan of the banner and enabled stars and stripes to be added to mirror the affirmation of each new state. After a British assault, novice artist Francis Scott Key was so motivated by seeing the American banner as yet flying over Baltimore's Fort McHenry that he stated "The Star-Spangled Banner" on Sept. 14, 1814. Can you imagine an island on which only venomous snakes live? This snake island is located in Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean. Ilha da Queimada Grande Island is called Snake Island. Here the number of snakes is so high that 5 snakes live in every square meter. Snake of a species called Golden Lancehead is also found on this island. This snake is counted among the world's poisonous snakes. It can be estimated from the fact that humans die after 10-15 minutes this snake bites. In Brazil, 90% of all deaths due to snake bite are due to this dangerous snake. Currently people are not allowed to go on this island.

Crocodile Island

The real name of this island, located near Burma, is Ramree Island. There are many saline water lakes on this island and all of these are filled with dangerous alligators. During World War II 1000 soldiers of the Japanese Army reached this island to avoid the British soldiers but most of them became victims of these crocodiles. It is said that only 20 soldiers from the island had returned alive. 

Komodo Island

It is located on the sea of ​​Indonesia. It is the habitat of Komodo dragon, largest lizard on the Earth. During the First World War, an aircraft had crashed near the island. The plane's pilot reached this island and then he came to know that this island is full of Komodo lizards.

Shell Island

This is situated near the Senegal coast in western Africa. This is also called Shell Island, because crores of shells have been gathered on this island. The condition is that only shells are seen all over here. Here the paths are made from shells. Walls of homes and tombs are also made of shells.

Master Controller Facility

It provides telemetry, follow-up and order communication routes to Bangalore, Lucknow, Sriharikota, Car Nicobar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mauritius's "ISRO launch vehicles" and satellite missions. Its headquarters are located in Bengaluru.

Liquid Propulsion Systems Center (LPSC)

Management System Center is located in Bengaluru Thiruvananthapuram and Mahendragiri. This center is implementing the process of launching of planes and launch of satellite and cryogenic operational phases and oxygen node systems.

ISRO Inertial System Unit 

This center is located in Thiruvananthapuram. In this center, the concrete equipment and systems are implemented for satellites and launch vehicles.

Development and Educational Communication Unit

The Ahmedabad-based center is to undertake research in various research areas such as Doordarshan Program Development, Policy Studies, Social Technology Action, Social Science, Research Survey etc. for development and education communication.

National Remote Sensing Agency

Hyderabad based National Remote Sensing Agency is an autonomous institute of the Department of Space, where the acquisition and dispersal of remote sensing satellite data is done.
