A City Where Humans are Not Allowed to Die - Longyearbyen city of Norway

Humans are not allowed to die in Longyearbyen city of Norway

Every person coming in this world has to be die one day. But nobody knows about the place of death. Birth and death are in the hands of God. But do you know that there is a city on this earth where there is strict prohibition on death? It sounds awkward in hearing but it is absolutely true.

In Longyearbyen city of Norway, there is a ban on the death of humans. This city is inhabited at the northernmost corner of the world. This city is different because of certain weird things. It is the only city in the world where people live despite the freezing cold. The population of this city is around two thousand. Only ice is visible all around. Most researchers and tourists live here.

There is no sunrise for four months from 25 October to 8 March. Due to which there is lot of cold and hence it is a time of nightmares. In the same manner there is no sunset for five months. Due to heavy thick layer of snow, the snow scooter is used for the transportation. This is a hometown of polar bears and around 3,000 polar bears stay here. Everyone has to keep a high power rifle to deal with them.

This city also have a small graveyard where no one has been buried for the last 70 years, the reason behind this is due to depositing cold and submerged in the snow here, the corpses do not dissolve in the ground. Many years ago, the scientists had taken the tissues of a dead body from the cemetery here and they were researched which shows that there are so many influenza viruses still present in the dead body of the person. Since then, No Dead Policy has been implemented here. If someone becomes seriously ill or near death, then he/she is sent to the other parts of Norway through ship or Aeroplane so that after his death his dead body could buried.
