The way our
body gets strength and energy by eating good food, in the same way our brain
gets energy by taking sound sleep. Insomnia means sleep sickness in the
night. It sounds very small thing but due to lack of sleep, many
diseases starts growing in our body. Incomplete sleep has a bad effect on
our brain, body as well as our skin. Inflammation in the eyes, dark circles,
hair loss, lack of sexual hormones, rapid increase in body weight and
blood pressure, imbalance, irritation, low concentration power, all of these
are Adverse effects of Insomnia. It also has a very bad effect
on our metabolism and immune system, which also weakens our ability to fight
diseases of our body.
Causes of Insomnia
Although
there may be many reasons of Insomnia but it's main causes are stress, irregular
time table of lunch and dinner, excessive tea or coffee consumption. Those
who sleep during the day, use mobile phone before sleeping, spent most of their
time on computers also do not sleep easily at night.
Here are some
easy and effective home remedies that will solve the problem of Insomnia and in
a short time you will get a sound sleep.
For good and deep sleep, an essential
amino acid called Tryptophan is found in the body which is abundant in pumpkin
seeds. It relaxes our mind so that we start to sleep fast. Besides this,
the amount of zinc in the pumpkin seeds is also very high. All such things
that have Tryptophan and zinc both in excess, they increase the Serotonin
hormones that calm the brain in our body. So, after consuming them, we get a
deep sleep. Poppy Seeds are very beneficial for our stomach, skin and brain. It
contains Zinc, Magnesium and Manganese in abundant quantity. Grind them
separately and prepare a fine powder. Then mix 100 gm of Pumpkin seeds powder,
100 gm of Almonds powder, 100-150 gm Dry dates powder and 50 gm of poppy seeds
powder. Take mixture of 1 tablespoon of this powder with 1 cup of hot milk one
hour before going to sleep. By taking this powder regularly, insomnia
improves rapidly.
2. Ingredients: One
Banana and Cinnamon powder.
This
home remedy works as sleeping pills. For sound sleep, our body should have
abundant quantity of zinc, magnesium and manganese. To make up for all
these nutrients deficiency, tea made from bananas is best. To make tea of
banana, take one banana and wash it properly with water. Cut off the
bottom and the top and separate it. Cut banana in 2-3 pieces and boil it in
three cups of water on medium flame for 5 minutes. Then add half a
teaspoon of cinnamon powder and boil it for 2-3 minutes. Leave it for
cooling and consume it when it gets less hot before going to sleep. It relaxes
our mind and muscles.
Apart from home remedies, there are some Ayurvedic herbs that are very beneficial for the brain and sleep. Among them Brahmi, Ashwagandha and Shankhpushpi are main.
3. Brahmi is used since ancient times as a brain tonic. It consumes a lot of benefits from consuming it in all kinds of diseases related to sleep. It is beneficial to consume it in all kinds of diseases related to sleep. Take half tablespoon of Brahmi, Half tablespoon of Ashwagandha and two cups of water, boil it on the flame until it reduces to 1 cup. Consume it when it becomes little cold.
4. Wash your eyes thoroughly before sleeping at night and keep two pieces of cotton soaked in rosewood water for 10 minutes on your eyes while sleeping. It cools down the nerves of our eyes and mind.
5. Massage the sesame oil on the soles of your feet before sleeping daily. Nerves of our feet are connected to many vital organs of our body. Massage of sesame oil has its good effect on our whole body.
Precautions
1.
Do not use any electronic device i.e.
TV, phone, computer at all 15-20 minutes before sleep. The electronic
radiation emanating from them makes our brain waking up for long periods of
time.
2. Do not drink tea at the evening. If you have been suffering from insomnia for a long time, then stop drinking tea and coffee completely.
3. Listen to music that calms the mind or read books before sleeping.
